- Será compatible con todas las versiones de Visual Studio 2005, Standard, Professional, etc..
- Añadirá cambios en los Contents Importers/Processors, para facilitar su utilización, templates nuevos, managment del build de contenido, supongo que este cambio será enfocado en el engorro de tener que añadir contenido nuevo al proyecto si usábamos los Content Importers/Processors. Teniendo en cuenta que en la Xbox 360 no se puede añadir contenido que no esté vinculado en el proyecto, parece un cambio lógico, añadir más usabilidad a esta parte.
- Managment mejorado para la Xbox 360, más opciones de configuración, ahora solo se puede añadir una nueva consola, y poca cosa más.
- Uso de una API de red nueva, para hacer juegos basados Xbox LIVE. El uso de los gametags tanto en windows como en nuestros juegos de Xbox, y la posibilidad de poder porfin conectar los juegos de Xbox y nuestros juegos de PC, usando XNA 100% (sin usar sockets de C#) parece ser la mejor noticia que podiamos recibir.
- Cambios en XACT editor. Teniendo en cuenta la gran cantidad de fallos que suele dar, no es de extrañar este cambio, uno más en su larga lista de versiones. Un desastre de herramienta, en mi opinión. (Habrán incluido algún nuevo codec para PC?, veremos...)
- Facilidad para integrar juegos XNA dentro de un Windows Form.
Fecha de salida finales del 2007, posiblemente a finales de Noviembre.

A destacar la API nueva de red, aquí os dejo un video demostración en ingles, de lo que se puede hacer.
En contra, no va a soportar ningún otro lenguaje que no sea C#. Adiós a la esperanza de usar C++.
